The Happy Little Ferrania Box Camera

I picked up this camera over the weekend along with another Kodak Duaflex for TtV shots. I didn't buy it to take photos with it and it didn't have a usable viewfinder but you can't not buy a camera that smiles at you. It sort of has that Milton the Toaster thing going on. But it would appear that I WILL be able to take photos with it because it takes 120 Film. Am I sure, you doubting Gentle Viewers ask. I am.

Because there was this roll of 120 film STILL IN IT.
Now I once found a roll of undeveloped film in the parking lot of the Westward Ho Casino is Las Vegas, or maybe Mean Don found it, he can spot a nickle under a car at 300 yards in the dark. You'd have thought we found treasure. We were CERTAIN it has photos of Utah Senator Orrin Hatch drinking and oogling the dancers at the Glitter Gulch.

Disappointingly, it only had boring snapshots not even worthy of Found Magazine. But can old film like this be developed? What's the freshness date? I've got some prepaid mailers for 120 Film after the Bangor Photo fiasco so maybe I'll send it in. And then maybe we'll know why this camera smiles.

  1. Seriously, how could you resist a happy smiling camera?

Now I'm curious to see what the film will have on it.

  2. If I was a piece of junk that nobody wanted and was picked up by a sad old dude with a camera fetish, paid for in CASH, and taken home to an apartment that serves as a happy, happy retirement home for the abused and unused, I'd be smiling too.
