End of the Season

It's not always about fame and playing in front of huge screaming crowds. Sometimes it's about just getting it done with your team, families and a few friends.

Brain Food?

I love me a good can of H13700-1F5263 over 07:39. Is this a snack or my Windows Vista Verification Code?
They are packed in like sardines in a can. ......oh.....wait........
Is that Sardine Juice? Can you drink it like you can the Vienna Sausage Juice? Where's my straw?
Who you callin' cracker? I love a snack where you can still identify the body parts.

Mmmmm...sahdines, deah. They ain't just for breakfast anymore.®

John Mitchell Kimball

Who asked me the same question that all grave diggers ask me:

"Do you know John Petros?"

This inside joke brought to you by John Mitchell Kimball, John Petros, and The Thing of the Moment.

A Portrait of Two Unknown Fair Goers (The People) - A Crossover Hit

You are looking for one thing and sometime find another.

I originally posted this on The Carnies photoblog but I know that if you won't click in image you CERTAINLY won't click a LINK to another blog. So open yer little mouths and I'll spoon feed you this because I like it and so will you. Open...oooopen.....

Egress (I)

This, Gentle Viewers, is carriage 4 of the Zipper, a ride I can NOT get out of without tripping.
This is carriage number 4 in it's resting position when loaded. ("Full o'people" in the Biz)
All nicely caged in like veal calves.
See where Carnie Dude puts his foot to rock that carriage into the upright position? Watch that spot. Posted by Picasa

Egress (II)

Open the cage...
wait....
Here it comes...
THE TRIP! There it is! I DO THAT, TOO! Posted by Picasa

Egress (III)

The Save
Her Reach (Aww...look at her little hand)
Awww...look at her face!
Lift and jump! She's got the Sweet Chucks, too. Posted by Picasa

Egress (IV)

With the Grace of Fred and Ginger

"Why are you taking our picture?" Why indeed. I assured them that it was Zapruder Film Quality Luck that they happened to be the Gentle Riders egressing from carriage number 4 on the Zipper at that moment. It just HAPPENED to be them. "However, since you are right here, would you mind posing for a portrait?"

Everything Old is New Again

The Thing of the Moment is conducting a test of its emergency broadcast system and returing to its original format of 100 posts on the front page. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Particularly to luminouslens and those of you on dial up.

Had this been an actual emergency, you would have been instructed as to where to tune for official information. We now return you to your regularly scheduled The Thing of the Moment.

Alt Alt Glass

A sweet capture.

*whew* I thought they were cockroaches. They were actually Leptoglossus occidentalis or Western Conifer Seed Bugs. Probably eating up the cones on the trees outside my bathroom window where these were found. Gah.

Alt Glass

And then of course, I couldn't stop there. Alt Alt Glass

Glass

As per usual I posted this and then played around with another that I liked it better in the end. Alt Glass

Burning the Blueberry Fields - THE MOVIE!!!!

Don't say I don't try to enrich the blueberry field burning experience of my Gentle Viewers because I DO!!

Of course watching this again here, now I see it's sort of lame. But still..it's fire. C'mon. That counts for SOMETHING!

Blueberry Field Burning - Continued.
