It's not about the 36 cents they make selling you 3 fish. It's the 9 bucks per pack of 3 filters changed once a month for the (so far) 4 year lifespan of a 12 cent fish.

ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm one of those idiots that has tropical fish, which cost $3.75 for three and goes and spends $55 on a tank and $30+ a month on filters, food and such.
ReplyDeleteI clean the tank once a week, but now only change the filters once a month. And my fish have lived over two years so far. ;-)
...but it's so groovy and alien up close! Worth every penny.

ReplyDeletealex: I found one on the floor with a dust kitty stuck to it 10 minutes after a botched transfer and it lived. I think they are little snakehead fish. I want to release them in the wild to see them cross a road.
