HOLGA - It Takes More Than a Cheap Camera to take a Great Photo®

And the 'more' thing takes a lifetime to develop.

I remain insanely jealous of you Holga people who take such great photos WITH this camera.

Myself, I'll just keep take photos OF it.

Posted for Macroday: Cheap

(P.S. Hey, Holga, contact me to license that great line!)

I know absolutely nothing about this camera, but from the sounds of it neither do you. *grin*

Just didn't want your poor li'l camera's feelings to be hurt.

Here ya go, Kirlmeister (upcoming workshop at the local Arts & Culture Center):

The Holga Camera: Creative Alternative Imaging -Christine Garceau
    Date: Tuesdays (April 10, 17, 24 and May 3, 10, 17)
    Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
    Ages: 16 and Up

The Holga Camera photography class is designed for photography lovers who would like to learn how to create alternative imaging using traditional photographic film. The Holga Camera has become an icon in recent years for an underground movement bent on sustaining the original magic of traditional film based imaging. The camera is affordable and the techniques are easy to learn. Students will learn the techniques used in plastic camera culture, a fast growing niche in the world of fine art photography.

    Registration: $30.00 City Resident/ $40.00 Non-City Resident
Lab Fee: $30.00 or Holga Camera and several rolls of 120 size film, black and white or color. Information for ordering is available upon request.

(Christine is one of the most popular local photographers/artists. I know several people who have had their portraits done by her. She is best known for colorizing (painting?) photos/portraits.)
