This photo is one of a few hundred I took of the canoe race. This particular location (6 Mile Falls) is an audience favorite because of the frequent capsizes. The Wet Suited Dude is one of a team of lifesavers and remains in the water for the entire race and guides canoers and kayakers with advice and if they don't take it, he helps scoop them out.
Disclaimer: This explanation in no way is meant to imply that I am ABOVE happily taking photos of people in distress requiring my assistance and not giving it for my own amusement. :)
Uh, I'm not a great canoe-race strategist, but wouldn't it be faster to stay in the canoe with the canoe right-side-up, or is it just me not understanding the subtlety again?
couldn't be more perfect

ReplyDeletedawn: for me, not them.
