That looks like the Bar Harbor Inn pier, which the schooners Margaret Todd and Sylvina W. Beal call home during the summer season when they are in port (hence the ticket booth). Is that black railing on the shore path to keep you from jumping? It's kind of tacky, but probably necessary in this day of liability & litigation. We did not visit Acadia this past summer. Was it installed then?
