I got an email a few weeks ago asking for permission to use this photo of the Lucerne Inn in the December Issue of Bangor Metro which I, of course, INSTANTLY granted. I mean..I have it Creative Commonly Licensed for NonCommerical Use and as long as Credit is given...
Where's the credit? *flippety, flip flip*
My first reaction was... "Are you kidding me?"... until I saw your next post. Wow! My famous friend, Jeff Kirlin. It IS a nice photo.
ReplyDeleteOkay...first congrats on the photo being published...next....a big fat raspberry to them for their "artistic" license of altering your photo and then shoving you into the margin...mmmph!....great place tho.
ReplyDeletenml: not as nice as my next post. heh heh
ReplyDeleteM: No no...I was the one who took out the El Camino. And I'm more comfortable in the margin. HOWEVER, (Heh heh, there is always a however) I THOUGHT for some reason the photo would be used to illustrate some editorial deal, but I never asked AND upon meeting the Editor (I was told I could stop in and get any back copies I didn't already have. I didn't have ANY but they gave me three of seven.) and I did have a brief discussion about businesses generally lacking decent photos of themselves. I mentioned to her about taking photos of some of the Carnie Food Booths upon specific request so that they could be used as promotional photos. So maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe we discussed it. I just didn't catch on. :)
