The Thing of the Moment's 2009 American Folk Festival 'Why Do I Like These Photos' Quiz
Because....
a) I like the interplay of the piano top with the clouds and light?
b) I was the person who flipped up the cover up off the keys because I thought it looked cooler?
c) I didn't REALLY have any business being up there?
Choose two answers. No cheating.
The Only Shots I Remember Are The Shots I've Missed
Last year this guy asked me if I'd take a photo of him and his daughter, she was due to arrive the next day or something. The Folk Festival can be a bit on the big side, but I didn't see him again for the rest of the show.
This year during the set up, I found him working behind the Railroad stage and mentioned how I felt badly I hadn't been able to get that shot and he said "She's HERE!" and called her over.

The Thing of the Moment's Hurricane Bill Guide to Not Being Swept Out To Sea.
Use 16.667mm of lens for every foot of wave height. 15 ft waves = 250mm. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Do not rely on a 3 foot granite ledge to protect you from 15 feet of water.
