This wasn't exactly a pose, but it WAS a long inquisitive stare and pause in the work while I kept snapping away with my little brownie camera. I noticed a sign, installed over the winter, that had listed in the do's and don'ts of the ramp, that one may not offload mussels there. So I don't know WHAT I walked into or who they thought I was or what side I was on. What does one say at a time like that? "If you are installing your safety rock wheel chock for me while offloading mussels in violation of ramp rules, please, I am ONLY a photographer."?

But I DO like mussels. I'm firmly Pro-mussel. Posted by Hello

I know it..this blog should be renamed The BIRD of the Moment. Posted by Hello

Breakfast with the Eagle.

The Eagle. I saw this in a field on the way to work. At first I thought it was just a big white headed turkey. Now, as you Gentle Viewers know by now. I'm no naturalist. But I do know a WHITE HEADED WILD TURKEY would be a cool photo. Posted by Hello

A Gentle Viewer who wishes to remain anonymous asked for a close up, trying to make out exactly what Eagles DO eat for breakfast. I'm not going back for more photos of it, so this will have to do. Posted by Hello
