When I called about photographing the circus (about 9 calls) each person said "The Shrine has a photographic unit."
"You mean like the Mini Bikes, Go Karts, Clowns and Lobsterboats?" I asked?
"Yeah, umm..no..sort of. It's a unit."
It's a unit indeed. They were VERY nice given that I was trampling all over their gig. A couple even suggested that I become a Mason, then Shriner and then join the unit. Not only would I gain photographic comraderie with some very nice guys, I'd get a fez with Photographer on it in jewels.
Damn my strict adherence to Roman Catholicism! :(
I'll be an outsider always.
