At 72, Boots is possibly one the fair's oldest employees. He works for the State Fair Cafeteria. There was some trouble in their last spot in Brockton, MA, (stabbings, shootings) and Boots was interviewed by WBZ radio and asked what he thought of the Guardian Angels.
"Never heard of them." he replied.
The next day he was met by several Guardian Angels and Curtis Sliwa and they presented him with a membership and a beret.
We are proud of Rich Boots. But due to his age, his beret is an honorary one. I have pictures of the presentation and he with Curtis Sliwa if the writer is interested
