Last Photo of the Lucerne Inn

I am posting this for two reasons. One, I think dusk is better than the dark photo, and two, I got tired of Mean Don glaring at me when I looked here.

And this is the last photo of the Lucerne Inn, not because there aren't more great shots to take of it or that I'm tired of it, but because the restraining order mandates that I no longer stop at this location. :)

  2. You never would have been screwed on the photo if Joe Foran still owned it. Now it's owned by some tool named Bion Foster

  3. We passed there today on the way home, and Becky casually said "Isn't that the place where the El Camino was in the picture?"

"Damn right, hunny. Damn right." I said.

  4. No no no no...I don't need no trouble with no dude named Bion.

I was deeeeeeeelighted to have my photo used. Just next time if it was for ad copy I'd ask 10 or 12 bucks for it to pay some medical bills and buy some food and some wood to burn to heat my apartment for a couple of hours. *cough cough* And actually I prefer checks, because I save them as souveniers and never cash them. Like the one I got from Pope John Paul II once while selling magazines. (It didn't really look like him but that was the name written on the check! So you know it was him!)

I do recall when Joe Foran owned the Inn though because he used to do his own ads on the radio. I like how people became minor celebrities when they did that. Like "Cal Weed from Cal's Sew and Save Shop" or "Carol from Town Auto." You kids today with your 'The Internets' and your MP3s! Ya don't got history!

  5. Update: It wasn't owned by some tool named Bion Foster at the time, it was owned by some tools named Steve and Rhonda Jones. The Thing of the Moment apologizes to the tool named Bion Foster. :)
