Nothing good was happening on March 6, 1877. Posted by Hello

  1. Since "Hello" isn't cooperating with me recently I thought I'd look at some other blogs.
    Love your photos!
This one intrigued me, so I looked up Moses & Melinda on Ancestry.com. Found he was a farmer in 1870, in Palmyra (Somerset County) Maine. Of course I was really looking for the cause of their almost consecutive deaths, and found nothing.
My guess? She killed him, the trial was on the following day, and they hung her the day after that!

  2. Wow! VERY cool, Sierrabella! Initally, I thought you were mistaken because I had CERTAINLY taken the photo in Holden, but then I checked and you were quite right. Palmya. Home of swift justice in 1877. :) Thanks. Good luck with Hello.
